Background and experience
SarahRose is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has been working in human services since 2008. She graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz (Sociology Concentration Human Services class of 2011) and University at Albany (Masters in Clinical Social Work class of 2014) with honors. She has worked in child welfare, public schools, outpatient clinics, healthcare centers ,and group private practice before starting her own practice in Kingston, NY in 2016.
As a life long learner, SarahRose has been trained in many Evidenced Based Practices. She currently employs primarily Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and EMDR Trauma Resolution treatment.SarahRose is experienced in treating a variety of challenges including trauma and stress, adjustments issues, anxiety, autism spectrum, and depression.
SarahRose is nationally certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and is in progress of obtaining certification in Eye Movement Desensitiviation and Reprocessing Therapy.
What is EMDR? EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. More info here
What is DBT? is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy. Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.
